New Mercedes C63 AMG Affalterbach Edition – Canada Exclusive
Mercedes-Benz Canada announced the Canadian premiere of the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Affalterbach Edition at the Montreal International Auto Show. Exclusive to Canada, and limited to just 30 units, the C63 AMG Affalterbach Edition was designed in the AMG Performance Centre in Affalterbach, Germany and features unique styling cues and an impressive list of special equipment that have never been offered before on a Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG.
The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Affalterbach Edition is finished in highly distinctive designo MAGNO Allanite Grey paintwork, and its unique appearance is further distinguished by high-performance AMG brakes with red calipers, 19″ AMG multi-spoke alloy wheels in black, carbon-fibre mirror housings and a rear lip spoiler.

Click here for full GalleryThe 2011 Mercedes SLS AMG is the first independent design from AMG and the new flagship for the entire company. As a modern re-interpretation of the 300SL, it’s also a return to the fast and elegant Mercedes of old. This car not only looks good, but it packs a ton of horsepower and performance to back the claims being made that it’s a true super-car. Heavily modified over the standard AMG V8, this 6.3 breathes much freer thanks to an all-new intake system, more aggressive valve timing, tubular steel headers and a de-throttled exhaust. In addition to the 571 HP at 6,800 RPM, it now develops 479 Lb-Ft of torque at 4,750 RPM, delivering high-RPM power with low-RPM torque. This all contributes to a reported 3.8-second 0-to-60 MPH time, and a top speed of 197 MPH. Paired to to the heart of this AMG monster is a duel clutch, 7 speed, paddle shifting transmission that makes lightning fast shifts at an astonishing 100 milli-seconds. So, not only does this car pack a punch, it’s equally gorgeous. The lines of the body are beautiful and the cockpit is a work of art. Leave it to AMG to combine brute force with absolute luxury. Ladies and gentleman, introducing the 2011 Mercedes SLS AMG, a definite blast from the past.
There’s a lot to love about the new Pagani Zonda R, starting with the Mercedes/AMG V12 bolted directly onto the rear of the chassis. The 6.0 liter monster outputs 750 horsepower, enough to take the car to 60 mph in less than 2.7 seconds on race tires, among the fastest acceleration of anything on four wheels, anywhere. The exhaust note is phenomenal and the sound going down the straight at the Nurburgring is second to none. Also, the non painted carbon fiber body is absolutely gorgeous. This is one hell of a race-ready exotic and it better be for 1.7 million. The new race ready Pagani Zonda R, it’s worth every cent.
