A Look at How BMWs Are Made
A behind the scenes look at one of the worlds greatest automakers.
I’m a Boss
John Gotti Jr. was born on October 27, 1940. John Gotti was flashy, fearless, fierce and ruthless. He was the type of mob leader that had not been seen since the heydays of Al Capone and Lucky Luciano. John Gotti ushered in a second glory period for the Gambino crime family in the 1980s. He used a combination of old-school charm and a ruthless desire for power, money, and respect. He was a man of contradictions; a man who could go from vicious murder operations to throwing barbecues for his neighbors.
John Gotti Jr. was known as both the “Dapper Don” and the “Teflon Don” for his flashy attire and ability to beat any rap that the authorities tried to throw at him. He was the top dog in the underworld throughout the 1980s, and executed his commanding presence with an unparalleled toughness and willingness to do whatever it took to stay at the top.
John Gotti began his life born and raised in Brooklyn. His days of crime started when he joined street gangs and committed petty thefts as a youngster. John Gotti Jr.’s first arrest was at the age of 14. He was caught trying to steal a cement mixer, but dropped it and broke his foot. An example of the suave character, which served him well for most of his life, Gotti managed to talk his way out of trouble by attributing the incident to a boyhood prank.

“Next spring, this model is fully loaded.” Vin Diesel as a car-stealin’ ninja?! Universal has debuted the first trailer for Justin Lin’s Fast Five, the fifth movie in their insanely successful Fast and the Furious franchise of high speed, high octane, highly mediocre movies.
Vin Diesel premiered the trailer on his own Facebook and it’s packed with plenty of TNA, lots of explosions, and more suped up cars than you can throw a stick at, as expected. As we also know, this stars Dwayne Johnson as well as Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris. I’m not really into this franchise at all, but that’s just me. Watch and enjoy!
Watch the first trailer for Justin Lin’s Fast Five:
Dom (Diesel) and his team of top racers find themselves on the wrong side of the law again as they try to switch lanes between a ruthless drug lord who wants them dead and a relentless federal agent (Johnson).
Fast Five is again directed by Taiwanese director Justin Lin, who previously helmed Better Luck Tomorrow, Spotlighting, Annapolis as well as Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and 2009’s last sequel Fast & Furious. The screenplay was written by Chris Morgan, of Cellular, Wanted, Tokyo Drift, Fast & Furious as well as the upcoming 47 Ronin. Universal is bringing Fast Five to theaters everywhere in 3D on April 29th next year.

Audi has proven itself to be the dominant force in Le Mans prototype racing over the course of the past decade, but to stay on top, any team — regardless of past successes — needs to have some of the best equipment available. Audi hopes its new R18 LMP car, unveiled late last week, proves to be precisely that.
Audi’s new LMP car is still diesel-powered, but in order to comply with new FIA regulations, engineers had to dial back the displacement from the outgoing R15+. As a result, the R18 now uses a 3.7-liter turbo-diesel V-6, a far cry from the 5.5-liter TDI V-10s found in the R10, R15, and R15 Plus. Other driveline modifications include the gearbox; the R18 uses a six-speed sequential gearbox in lieu of last year’s five-cog unit.
A smaller engine does trigger a loss in power, but Audi’s team focused on ways on using every last ounce of energy packed within the R18. As a result, attention was focused on the car’s aerodynamics in order to help reduce drag and increase efficiency. Wind tunnel testing forced a number of changes, notably the enclosed cockpit — a feature we haven’t seen on Audi LMP cars since the 1999 R8C.
Overall, the R18 looks drastically different than the company’s previous LMP cars. Regulations required the new car to utilize equally-sized wheels in front and back, which in turn forced designers to add some very pronounced wheel arches. The FIA also forced Audi to adopt a large dorsal fin running along the top of the engine compartment, but the headlamps — which incorporate LED lighting and accent pipes — are certainly Audi-designed accoutrements.
The new R18 will make its competitive debut at the Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium on May 8th. Audi plans to enter no less than three R18 s for the 24 Hours of Le Mans race on June 11th and 12th. In total, the new R18 will contend in six races for the 2011 season, including the Petit Le Mans race at Road Atlanta on October 1st.

Miley celebrates B-Day with a bong hit!
Oh Miley, you make it so easy to make fun of you!!!
Miles turned 18 just last month, but she’s already five minutes away from a sex tape and her first trip to rehab. In the video obtained by TMZ, Cyrus is taped “tripping” at a belated birthday party at her Los Angeles home just five days after her 18th birthday. She can be seen smoking the herb salvia through a bong. Salvia, which has psychedelic qualities, is legal in California. It is often compared to the effects which a user gets from LSD.
Next Miley breaks into an impromptu rap, imitating Nicki Minaj’s verses on the Trey Songz collaboration “Bottoms Up.” The footage is believed to have been leaked by one of the starlet’s pals.
The former Hannah Montana star’s “honorary godmother,” country legend Dolly Parton, recently admitted that she’s worried about people influencing the teenage star’s behavior more than ever now that her parents, Billy Ray and Tish, are divorcing.
We know that this probably became an age-old question after her umpteenth nearly-nude picture scandal, but “What the Hell Happened to Miley Cyrus?!” Once a cute Disney star with a famous dad, Miley is now a sexually charged vamp, who has completely transformed herself in a few short years. From accusations of racism to pause-worthy lapdances and barely-there clothing, Miley has gone the way of Britney Spears — and it could get worse.
Well not exactly, this project is being taken on by a sole man. Mattias Vöx, the Koenigsegg engineer who has done some work on cars with the Volvo badge, one of which was his 1967 Amazon Station wagon from which he squeezed 600hp (448kW), is currently facing a new challenge. The new challenge consists of taking the famous Volvo P1800 sports car and turn it into a fearsome machine.
To aid him in updating the car, Vöx has solicited the assistance of Vizualtech, a design company from Sweden which has made several computer aided images showing the new bespoke vehicle. Although the general lines of the vintage P1800 will be maintained, changes will have to be made to make room for the state-of-the-art equipment that Vöx intends to equip the car with, including a front extension of the car reaching 70mm and larger wheel housings. Since Vöx will be installing a new V8 powerplant from the Volvo XC90 SUV, these revisions will help accommodate the large engine. With a 6-speed manual, the engine will be equipped with a turbocharger to bring power output up to 600hp (448kW). Included in the performance enhancements intended for the car are a diffuser at the back, a flat underbelly, and a modified front section to improve air flow. Although no date has been offered for its unwrapping, construction is going well under way at present.
According to a report by Auto Express, this custom Swede is slated to enter small-scale production at some unspecified date in the future. We can hardly wait.
The Tourist – Movie Review
Adapted by from the 2005 French film “Anthony Zimmer,” about an ordinary man drawn into an extraordinary world, “The Tourist” is so lacking in pace, involvement and excitement that by the time its numerous plot twists materialize we can’t be bothered to care.
“The Tourist” begins in Paris with a crack French surveillance team focusing its attention on one Elise Clifton-Ward. Though she doesn’t look particularly dangerous, Elise has caught the eye not only of the French police but also of Scotland Yard’s Financial Crimes Division and even Italian Interpol. That’s because her inamorato, Alexander Pearce, is a financial wizard who is wanted in 14 countries and has ruffled feathers around the world with his fiscal chicanery. Since no one knows what Alexander looks like, he has concocted a plan to throw the police off his trail. He instructs Elise to take the high-speed TGV to Venice, select someone on the train who shares his height and build and try to persuade the world’s police that this harmless nobody is the great financial wizard. Depp plays Frank Tupelo, a math teacher from Wisconsin who is such a timid, unworldly type he tries to be understood in Spanish when he’s in Italy.

Semi-nude photographs of singer Christina Aguilera have leaked online, leaving the pop star “embarrassed” and “horrified.” The photos show Aguilera half naked in her underwear with bits of fabric adorned with jewels draped over her body, and according to reports, she believes somebody had hacked into her personal stylist’s account. It said the racy pictures are from Christina Aguilera’s personal stylist. Also revealed are pictures of the songstress in her typical Marilyn Monroe look.
Speculative fans wonder if this is a staged publicity stunt to create buzz for her new movie Burlesque, or a malicious act by the hacker. These Christina Aguilera pictures seem to be shot around the time of the racy Not Myself Tonight music video and several months before her imminent divorce and other life changing events. Enjoy.

Audi Quattro, will it be a reality?

Loosely based on the Audi RS5, the Audi Quattro concept sits on a wheelbase that has been shorted by almost 6 inches. The rear overhang was shortened by 7.9 inches, and the roofline was lowered by 1.6 inches. Together, these reductions add up to a much tighter package and very aggressive look. To help bring the weight down to 2,900 pounds, roughly the same weight as the 1984 Sport Quattro, Audi replaced the steel body of the production RS5 with a custom aluminum spaceframe, covered with carbon fiber panels. The RS5’s V-8 and dual-clutch transmission was also swapped out for a turbocharged five-cylinder and a manual six-speed gearbox (another nod to the original car), further reducing weight.
With the exception of wheels, tailpipes, and a signature set of Audi LED light banks, the exterior is pretty straightforward. As a world first, the LED headlights boast dynamic components that vary from horizontal to vertical, and from slit-eyed to wide open. Instead of conventional turn signals, the new light units integrate amber streaks out front and moving yellow brackets at the rear.
